In the galleries you will find examples of the range of photographic styles I currently practice. Most of the images are current - ie from the last ten years to the present, while in the Favourites From The Archive gallery I’ve included a selection of earlier photographs - mostly taken on film - which I think, for me at least, have stood the test of time.
In the Abstractions Gallery is a collection of what I’ve referred to as “abstractions” rather than “abstracts” as they are not all “abstract” in the usual sense of the term, meaning images which emphasise colour or geometric forms. Some of them are clearly “of” something, but are removed (or “abstracted”) from their immediate context, and so, I hope, have a slightly enigmatic or mysterious quality about them.
Under the Inspirational heading in the menu there are links to some of the photographers who have recently inspired me.
